Chaplaincy aims
The Chaplaincy has a number of aims. These are:
- to be a friendly, welcoming and non-judgmental presence within the University
- to provide support for Christians at Glamorgan through worship, study and individual spiritual guidance
- to assist people of other faiths to access appropriate support in the practice of their faith
- to provide support and pastoral care to all members of the University community regardless of faith and to promote spiritual and personal development
- to help create a context for positive inter-faith dialogue within the University community
- to promote a vision of society that is inclusive and collaborative
- to highlight and raise issues that may affect the welfare of all members of the University
- to provide a welcoming and informal setting for all members of the University to meet and / or relax
- to provide independent confidential one-to-one pastoral counselling / guidance
- to be a faith information resource for the University community.
