Chaplaincy aims

The Chaplaincy has a number of aims. These are:

  • to be a friendly, welcoming and non-judgmental presence within the University
  • to provide support for Christians at Glamorgan through worship, study and individual spiritual guidance
  • to assist people of other faiths to access appropriate support in the practice of their faith
  • to provide support and pastoral care to all members of the University community regardless of faith and to promote spiritual and personal development
  • to help create a context for positive inter-faith dialogue within the University community
  • to promote a vision of society that is inclusive and collaborative
  • to highlight and raise issues that may affect the welfare of all members of the University
  • to provide a welcoming and informal setting for all members of the University to meet and / or relax
  • to provide independent confidential one-to-one pastoral counselling / guidance
  • to be a faith information resource for the University community.
