Glamlife Student Information Site

Chaplaincy at the University of Glamorgan is open and inclusive. We rejoice in the fact that people come in all shapes, sizes and types. While rooted in the Christian tradition, we respect everyone’s faith and we respect the thinking and exploration of those who are not committed to any faith.

At the Chaplaincy you can find information about a variety of faith groups. The Chaplaincy is also a place to meet with friends. You are welcome to join in any of its seminars and discussions and social activities.

Whether you belong to a faith community or not, you are welcome to talk confidentially with a Chaplain about any problems, ethical dilemmas, uncertainties and life questions you may have. There is no need to wait for a crisis to happen – come and have a chat at any time.

This section of our site is designed to give you an overview of the Chaplaincy as a whole. However if you would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In the photo below, from left to right are: Jan Harris, Volunteer Administrator, Fr. Gareth Leyshon, Associate Chaplain (Roman Catholic), Rev Vaughan Rees, the University Chaplain and Rev Ray Vincent, Associate Chaplain. Vaughan and the team are supported by a number of volunteers, the local churches and members of other faith communities.

What is a Chaplain?
The Chaplains are here to listen and offer spiritual guidance and support. They also offer prayer and devotional opportunities. Find out more about the Chaplaincy team.

Why talk to a Chaplain?
Because we will help you, irrespective of your faith or outlook. Whatever’s on your mind, we can offer you a confidential and non-judgemental opportunity to talk things through. You don’t have to wait for a crisis or problem to talk to us.

If you want further information about Chaplaincy events or places of worship in the area then please complete the Contact Information Form. Your email address will be added to the Chaplaincy list and we will keep you in touch with all that is happening.
